NEFU Professor Shan Wei Wins the 2016 China Industry-University-Research Collaboration Promotion Award
The 10th China Industry-University-Research Collaboration and Innovation Conference was held on November 27. The conference announced the Declaration of Hangzhou and rewarded the 2016 advanced institutions and individuals of Industry-University-Research Collaboration. The program Exploitation and Industrialization of integrated environmental protection and innovation equipment in Oil fields, which was participated and researched by NEFU, won 2016 Excellent Outcome Award. Leader of the Engineering Consulting and Design Institute (Scientific and Engineering of cold area Institute), Shan Wei won the 2016 China Industry-University-Research Collaboration Promotion Award.
The themes of this conference were collaborative innovation, transformative outcome, environmental development, and open sharing. The conference aimed to carry out strategies of innovative development, implement the concept of innovative, harmonious, environmental, open, and cooperative development, deepen industry-university-research cooperation, and to accelerate the establishment of company centered, market oriented, and industry-university-research cooperated innovation systems. There were 4 sessions: the Forum of innovative design and autonomous manufacturing; the Forum of alliances of industry-university-research and development of special towns; the Forum of cooperation between universities and companies, and development & establishment of innovation business; and the Forum of development of healthy industry in an Internet era. Some institutions of higher education, companies and financial institution signed an agreement on strategic cooperation with association during the conference to further promote industry-university-research cooperation.
The China Industry-University-Research Collaboration Association cooperated with the Zhejiang Government to hold this conference. The former vice state councilor of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China, adjunct professor of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and chairman of the China Industry-University-Research Collaboration Association, Luyong Xiang; vice secretary of party committee and acting governor of Zhejiang province Che Jun; Party members and vice minister of the Ministry of Science & Technology, and professor of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Huang Wei, together with Party members and secretary of the China Association for Science and Technology, Xiangchang Le attended and gave speeches in the conference. The conference, being supported by 23 related ministries and committees, such as the Zhejiang Party Committee and government, the Ministry of Science & Technology, the Ministry of Education, and the State Forestry Administration of the People’s Republic of China, attracted more than 1,000 scientists, entrepreneurs, and financiers from industry-university-research associations, politics, finance, business, and media throughout China. The innovation and promotion award of industry-university-research collaboration is permitted by the Ministry of Science & Technology and National Office for Science & Technology Awards, and is to honor institutions and individuals who make prominent contributions to industry-university-research collaboration and innovation research. The 2016 Innovation and promotion award of industry-university-research collaboration is specifically sponsored by the China Association for Science and Technology, which further expands the influence of this award.
In the fourth executive council meeting of the China Industry-University-Research Collaboration Association on November 26, the, Engineering Consulting and Design Institute (Scientific and Engineering of cold area Institute) of NEFU was selected as an executive council institute and Shan Wei was selected as the member of China Industry-University-Research Collaboration Association.
